Kate Kislingbury

Kate Kislingbury was born and raised in Texas where she studied classical ballet in Galveston before moving to Austin. There, she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Dance. While at UT she had the opportunity to travel through Europe and perform in the Young Tanzsommer Dance Festival. She then continued her education at Duke University at the American Dance Festival where she was chosen to dance in world premiere works by Charles O Anderson and Vanessa Voskuil. From there, she moved to Chicago and fell in love with Aerial Dance when she started dancing with Aerial Dance Chicago. After years at ADC both performing and teaching she is ready to reach new height and craft her artistry with Methos Aerial. Kate is also a company member with Same Planet Different World where she has performed in Arts Midwest and Harvest Dance Chicago. When she isn’t rehearsing or performing she spends her time cooking for friends and going to as many shows as she can.
